Laser cutting or other cutting methods will let the cutting materials evaporate into the air, cause peculiar smell or toxic gas. Waterjet cutting uses the impact of water flow to mix the pollutants with the water, not distributed in the air. Therefore, waterjet cutting is also a green and healthy way of cutting.
