Waterjet cutting named high pressure water jet cutting technologyUnder the controlling of the computer can cut any graphics arbitrarily on the work piece, and less affected by material texture. Because of its low cost, easy to operate, waterjet cutting is becoming the mainstream of cutting way used in waterje cutting machine.

Laser cutting is to use a focusing mirror to focus the CO2 laser beam on the surface of the material to melt the material, so that the laser beam and material along the track for relative movement, so as to form the shape of the slit. Laser cutting technology is widely used in the processing of metal and non-metallic materials, can greatly reduce the processing time and costs, improve the quality of the work piece.

Cutting thickness:

Laser cutting is currently mostly used in the thin steel plate, part of the non-metallic materials, but for the thick metal plate, the cutting surface is not ideal, even can not cut. With abrasive waterjet cutting can even cut more than 20cm steel plate, cutting penetration is much higher than laser cutting. For materials with a certain thickness, the choice of waterjet cutting will be more scientific and efficient.

Compared with laser cutting, the cost of waterjet cutting is much lower. The same configuration costs a third of the price of a laser cutter.

Laser cutting or other cutting methods will let the cutting materials evaporate into the air, cause peculiar smell or toxic gas. Waterjet cutting uses the impact of water flow to mix the pollutants with the water, not distributed in the air. Therefore, waterjet cutting is also a green and healthy way of cutting.

Without changing the texture:

Waterjet cutting can be classified as physical cutting, and laser cutting through high temperature, will cause the formation of an oxide layer or crimp due to heat.
