One of the reasons waterjet cutting is preferred over other cutting processes is its ability to form extremely sharp corners with extreme precision. The problem with other cutting processes is that they usually generate a lot of heat. When a workpiece is exposed to heat, its entire structural composition will change, even if it is not the part being cut. However, the waterjet cutting machine does not generate heat, so it can create sharp corners with extremely high precision.


It Can Produce Up to 1,600 PSI


Most water jets produce around 500 to 700 pounds per square inch (PSI) of pressure, but a variety of the more advanced water jets are capable of producing up to 1,600 PSI of pressure. If you choose the right nozzle and adjust to the right water pressure, it can cut even the hardest materials.


It Can traverse Most Materials
